Shaghayegh Haghdoust
Shaghayegh Haghdoust is an Iranian-Canadian filmmaker, artist, and educator based in Toronto. She has a BA in Digital Film and Television from Limkokwing University and a BFA in Film, Video, and Integrated Media from Emily Carr University. Shagha has worked as the Technical Coordinator for the National Film Board of Canada, contributing to the production and post-production of award-winning feature documentaries and animations. She has also produced music videos for various artists and recently established her production company, "LOVE," in Toronto. Shagha's music video "wait on me" received recognition at the Berlin Commercial festival. With a focus on global and social issues, she creates visually captivating films and documentaries that explore themes of environment, culture, and identity. Her work has been showcased in prestigious festivals and galleries worldwide, including the London Lift-Off Film Festival and the San Francisco Iranian Film Festival. Shagha's artistic pursuits demonstrate her commitment to addressing vital global and social issues through the power of film.
Shagha also co-founded MENA Film Festival in Vancouver in 2019.
